I will probably send friend requests to everyone in a week when I get over my paranoia.
It’s worth noting that everything you say in tumblr is public, unless you specify otherwise (and even in private posts, if someone gets hold of the URL when they’re not meant to, they can access the information). And people *do* find what you write: My most recent example was when I mentioned in passing on twitter that I’d melted a kettle and I was having friends I hadn’t spoken to in years stop me on the street and ask about it.
If you want a more comprehensive blogging solution that allows for more security granularity with posts, there are other solutions, which I can discuss if you’re interested. I moved from one of those to tumblr because I didn’t want to hide my ramblings to anyone anymore, and the other benefits were not good enough in comparison to the ease of using tumblr.
Right, back to work for me!
I spend a large proportion of my online time trying to find cool, pretty or interesting stuff. This is where some of it ends up.
