Finally, someone who gets it!
IIRC, the only exception are machines running windows that are running active directory (I think that’s what it is) - when you log in, it has to load *everything* on your desktop into RAM, causing er, fun.
So go on, leave stuff about to use! If your muscle memory prefers a menu item to a Dock item, go for it and leave both. These are *your* fucking machines, people!
